A Combined Competitive Examination for recruitment to various Services/posts(as mentioned below) of Government of India will be held by the Union Public Service Commission commencing on 7th June, 2008 in accordance with the Rules published by the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) in the Gazette of India dated the 12th January, 2008.
Recruitment on the results of this examination will be made to the Services/posts under the following categories:

Category IV – Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
The number of vacancies to be filled on the results of the examination is expected to be approximately 394. The number of vacancies is liable to alteration.
Reservations will be made for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Physically Disabled Categories in respect of vacancies as may be fixed by the Government of India.
